30th July

At last the 30th comes around and with a certain trepidation I walk to the hospital.

To be honest, I'm not overly worried as there's no pain, no discomfort, the lump is not attached to anything (it floats, it moves) within the sac so I feel confident it's nothing major but, as always, these things just need checking and diagnosing!

There aren't many people in the clinic so I'm not waiting long before I see the consultant.

Adopt the position (as they say) and she quickly diagnoses the lump as being an epididymal cyst.

Nothing to worry about and no further treatment :D Happy days!

Lumpy!!

To quote a line from [many] an old joke...

"Why do men scratch their balls in the morning...?"

Well, a couple of days ago, on waking and before arising from my bed I decided to do just that: because I'm a bloke and that's what blokes do :D

Only problem that morning was that there was one more lump than there should have been!

Check, double-check, triple-check and so on and, yep, definitely there - merde!

As it was the weekend, and as I have my (I'm pleased to say) open invite to Sunday dinner (thanks Sarah :-), whilst around there I had a chat with Sarah and she advised me of the normal process for these kind of 'concerns'.

Off I trot to the doctors to see my GP (who I've never seen before: the last time I saw my GP in UK was July 2004.

---

Following a quick examination, she says she doesn't think it is the big C but has to refer me to make sure...

I should hear something in a few days...

Karen's BBQ

John's sister Karen has a BBQ this weekend so it's over to her house for a few beers and a catch up.

Thankfully the weather stayed good all day so no need to rush for the inside or under the tent.

Nice to see the die-hards at the end of the night and John back on form :D.

Back to UK

Sadly my time in Thailand, this time, is over and I have to fly back to the UK to sort things out.

A fairly crappy flight to Mumbai, and then a rush to get the connecting flight to Heathrow (swine flu checks!!).

The plane to Heathrow though is the best long distance flight I have been on, nice one Jet Airways.

Landing back in London I'm pleased to say that it's raining, joy!

Hire a car from Europcar and drive north...

4 hours and back in sunny (?) GY.

Ah well, never mind, have my [return] flight booked for the 4th August :D
